The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said on Tuesday that Jeremy Shane Waldrop, who was 46 years old, and Rebecca LeeAnn Poe, who was 43 years old, were the two people who tragically passed away as a result of that awful accident. Both fatalities were found to be deceased at the scene of the incident and pronounced dead there. They had already shared the experience of being in a car collision together.
The majority of Waldrop and Poe’s lives were spent in Pell City, which served as their primary residence for the most of that time. The terrible accident occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 59 in Trussville, which is located at mile marker 142, at 10:01 in the morning. According to Eric Rush, who serves as the head of police for the city of Trussville, two people were engaged in an accident on Interstate 459, and following the incident, they ran away from the scene of the mishap.
